Refunds, Credits & Cancellation Policy

These Refunds, Credits & Cancellation Terms (“Policy”) apply to all tickets, bookings, memberships, and event purchases made through Get Snowballing (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
By purchasing or attending one of our events, you agree to this Policy together with our Terms & Conditions.
1. General Policy
Get Snowballing organises live social and dating events which require advance venue bookings, staffing, coordination, and attendee balancing. As a result, cancellation terms apply to all bookings.
We aim to provide a fair and reasonable approach for both attendees and the business while complying with applicable Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits any rights you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or applicable consumer protection laws.
2. Customer Cancellations
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via ticketing platform.
The timing of your cancellation will determine your eligibility for a refund, credit, or transfer.
2.1 Cancellations 14 Days or More Before the Event
If you cancel your booking at least fourteen (14) days before the scheduled event date, you may choose either:
a) a full refund less any non-refundable payment processing or administration fees; or
b) a credit equal to 100% of the ticket value for use toward a future Get Snowballing event.
2.2 Cancellations Between 7 and 13 Days Before the Event
If you cancel between seven (7) and thirteen (13) days before the event, you may choose either:
a) a refund equal to 75% of the ticket value; or
b) a credit equal to 100% of the ticket value for future use.
2.3 Cancellations Between 3 and 6 Days Before the Event
If you cancel between three (3) and six (6) days before the event:
a) no cash refund will be provided; however
b) you may receive a credit equal to 100% of the ticket value for future use.
2.4 Cancellations Within 72 Hours of the Event
Cancellations made less than seventy-two (72) hours before the event are non-refundable and not eligible for event credit.
This is due to final venue commitments, staffing allocations, attendee confirmations, and event balancing requirements.
3. Ticket Transfers
Tickets may be transferred to another eligible attendee up to twenty-four (24) hours before the event, subject to prior approval by Get Snowballing.
To maintain balanced participation and attendee experience, transfers are generally only permitted to another attendee of the same gender category as the original booking.
The replacement attendee must:
a) satisfy the eligibility requirements for the event;
b) provide all required registration information; and
c) agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Get Snowballing reserves the right to refuse a transfer request where operational, safety, or event balancing concerns apply.
4. Event Credits
Event credits:
a) are valid for twelve (12) months from the date of issue;
b) may be applied toward eligible future events, subject to availability;
c) are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash; and
d) may not be transferred to another person without written approval.
Unused credits will expire automatically at the end of the validity period.
5. Event Changes, Postponements & Cancellations
Get Snowballing reserves the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule, relocate, combine, or modify an event where reasonably necessary, including due to:
a) low attendance numbers;
b) attendee balancing requirements;
c) venue issues;
d) safety concerns;
e) staff illness or operational issues;
f) government restrictions; or
g) circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Where Get Snowballing cancels or materially changes an event, affected attendees will be offered one of the following remedies at our discretion:
a) a transfer to another event;
b) an event credit; or
c) a full refund.
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method where applicable.
6. Attendance Balance & Event Experience
As a social and dating events company, attendee experience and balanced participation are important operational considerations.
Get Snowballing does not guarantee any specific number of attendees, demographic composition, gender ratio, compatibility outcome, romantic connection, or matchmaking result.
We reserve the right to make reasonable operational adjustments to support event quality and attendee experience.
7. No Shows
Failure to attend an event without prior notice will be treated as a “no-show”.
No-shows are not eligible for refunds, credits, or transfers.
8. Removal From Events
Get Snowballing reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove any attendee whose behaviour is considered unsafe, inappropriate, abusive, discriminatory, intoxicated, threatening, or disruptive.
Attendees removed from an event for behavioural reasons will not be entitled to any refund, transfer, or credit.
9. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantees, rights, or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.
Where you are entitled to a remedy under Australian Consumer Law, this Policy will apply subject to those rights.
