Get Snowballing Pty Ltd
1. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing a ticket or attending an event hosted by Get Snowballing Pty Ltd, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
2. Purpose of Events
Our events are designed to facilitate social connections in a respectful environment. While connections may occur, we do not guarantee matches or relationships.
3. Behaviour Expectations
Attendees must behave respectfully toward other participants, staff, and venue personnel.
Prohibited behaviour includes but is not limited to:

Harassment or intimidation

Discriminatory language or conduct
-
Persistent unwanted advances
-
Unwanted physical contact
-
Recording or photographing other attendees without consent

Disruptive behaviour or excessive intoxication
Attendees are required to read and comply with the Get Snowballing Social Conduct Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and the Social Conduct Policy, these Terms prevail.
4. Consent & Personal Boundaries
Attendees must respect the personal boundaries of all other participants at all times.
If another attendee declines conversation or further interaction, that decision must be respected immediately and without question.
Get Snowballing Pty Ltd is committed to providing an environment free from harassment and discrimination. All attendees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the obligations set out under the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth), which prohibits sexual harassment and discrimination on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, intersex status, marital or relationship status, and pregnancy. Behaviour that would constitute sexual harassment or discrimination under that Act will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the event without refund.
5. Reporting Concerns
Attendees are encouraged to report any behaviour that makes them uncomfortable to the event host. Reports will be handled respectfully and confidentially where possible.
6. Right of Refusal & Removal
Get Snowballing Pty Ltd reserves the right to refuse entry to, or remove, any attendee from an event at its absolute discretion.
Where an attendee is removed from an event due to a breach of these Terms & Conditions, including but not limited to behavioural expectations, consent obligations, or the alcohol policy, no refund will be issued, regardless of how much of the event has elapsed.
Where an attendee is removed or reported for conduct that is unsafe, inappropriate, harassing, or inconsistent with the values of the Get Snowballing community, future attendance at any Get Snowballing event is at the sole and absolute discretion of Get Snowballing Pty Ltd. The Company is under no obligation to provide reasons for declining future attendance.
7. Event Balance & Participation
Where applicable, the Company may manage attendance to maintain a balanced and enjoyable social environment. The Company reserves the right to make adjustments to attendee participation when necessary.
8. Alcohol Policy
If alcohol is served at the venue, attendees must comply with venue licensing laws and drink responsibly.
Attendees who appear intoxicated may be refused service or asked to leave.
9. Privacy
Get Snowballing Pty Ltd is committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Our Privacy Policy, sets out how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information, and how you may access or correct information we hold about you.
Attendees must respect the privacy of other participants. Personal information shared during an event, including names, contact details, or any other identifying information, must not be disclosed to third parties without the express consent of the individual concerned.
Photography or video recording may be conducted at events for promotional and marketing purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, you must notify the event host prior to or at the commencement of the event. Your opt-out request will be recorded in writing by the host and respected throughout the event. Please note that Get Snowballing cannot guarantee the removal of images taken prior to an opt-out request being received.
Attendees must not photograph, film, or record other attendees without their prior and explicit consent. Unauthorised recording of other attendees is a breach of these Terms & Conditions and may result in immediate removal from the event without refund.
10. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term or condition, implied or imposed by the ACL that cannot be excluded or limited by agreement, the Company is not responsible for:

Personal interactions between attendees

Loss or damage to personal belongings
-
Injuries occurring during events
Participation is voluntary.
11. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where permitted by law, our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to resupply of the service or payment of the cost of resupply.
12. Ticketing, Cancellations, Refunds & Transfers
12.1 General
By purchasing a ticket to a Get Snowballing event, you enter into a booking agreement subject to the cancellation and refund terms set out in this clause. Please read these terms carefully before completing your purchase.
12.2 Cancellations by the Attendee
The timing of your cancellation will determine your eligibility for a refund, credit, or transfer.
12.2.1 Cancellations 14 Days or More Before the Event
If you cancel your booking at least fourteen (14) days before the scheduled event date, you may choose either:
a) a full refund less any non-refundable payment processing or administration fees; or
b) a credit equal to 100% of the ticket value for use toward a future Get Snowballing event.
12.2.2 Cancellations Between 7 and 13 Days Before the Event
If you cancel between seven (7) and thirteen (13) days before the event, you may choose either:
a) a refund equal to 75% of the ticket value; or
b) a credit equal to 100% of the ticket value for future use.
12.2.3 Cancellations Between 3 and 6 Days Before the Event
If you cancel between three (3) and six (6) days before the event:
a) no cash refund will be provided; however
b) you may receive a credit equal to 100% of the ticket value for future use.
12.2.4 Cancellations Within 72 Hours of the Event
Cancellations made less than seventy-two (72) hours before the event are non-refundable and not eligible for event credit. This is due to final venue commitments, staffing allocations, attendee confirmations, and event balancing requirements.
12.3 Removal for Conduct Breach
For the avoidance of doubt, the cancellation and refund schedule in clause 11.2 does not apply where an attendee is removed from an event as a result of a breach of these Terms & Conditions or the Get Snowballing Social Conduct Policy. In those circumstances, no refund and no event credit will be issued, regardless of how much of the event has elapsed at the time of removal.
12.4 Cancellation by Get Snowballing
Where Get Snowballing cancels an event, all ticket holders will be offered either a full refund of the ticket price paid or a credit equal to 100% of the ticket value for use toward a future event. Get Snowballing will provide as much notice as reasonably practicable in the circumstances.
12.5 Ticket Transfers
Tickets may be transferred to another eligible attendee up to twenty-four (24) hours before the event, subject to prior written approval by Get Snowballing.
To maintain balanced participation and attendee experience, transfers are generally only permitted to another attendee of the same gender category as the original booking.
The replacement attendee must:
a) satisfy the eligibility requirements for the event;
b) provide all required registration information; and
c) agree to these Terms & Conditions prior to attending.
Get Snowballing reserves the right to refuse a transfer request where operational, safety, or event balancing concerns apply.
12.6 Event Credits
Event credits issued under these Terms:
a) are valid for twelve (12) months from the date of issue;
b) may be applied toward eligible future events, subject to availability;
c) are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash; and
d) may not be transferred to another person without prior written approval from Get Snowballing.
Unused credits will expire automatically at the end of the validity period. Get Snowballing is under no obligation to extend or reinstate expired credits.
13. Agreement
By purchasing a ticket or attending the event, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
14. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver
By attending a Get Snowballing Pty Ltd event, participants acknowledge that social events involve interactions with other individuals whose behaviour cannot be fully controlled.
Attendees voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in the event, including interactions with other attendees and activities occurring at the venue.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Get Snowballing Pty Ltd, its founders, staff, and event hosts are not responsible for:

Personal interactions between attendees during or after events

Any personal, romantic, or business relationships formed as a result of attending events

Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings

Injury or harm occurring at the event venue unless caused by negligence of the Company
Attendees agree that they participate at their own discretion and responsibility.
15. Post-Event Conduct
Respectful behaviour is expected both during and after events.
If an attendee experiences harassment, persistent unwanted contact, or inappropriate behaviour from another participant after the event, they may report the issue to Get Snowballing
The Company reserves the right to investigate reports and may restrict or ban individuals from attending future events if their conduct is deemed inappropriate or inconsistent with the values of the community.
Post-event conduct is governed by the same standards set out in these Terms and the Get Snowballing Social Conduct Policy. Reported breaches of post-event conduct will be assessed against those standards.
16. Non-Solicitation
Events hosted by Get Snowballing Pty Ltd are intended for social connection.
Attendees may not use events primarily to promote businesses, recruit clients, or solicit services from other participants.
The Company reserves the right to restrict attendance of individuals who repeatedly engage in commercial solicitation.
17. Event Format & Participation
Get Snowballing Pty Ltd may structure events in ways designed to facilitate balanced and enjoyable social interactions.
This may include managing attendee numbers, rotating conversations, or organising structured activities.
Participants agree to follow event formats and host instructions designed to support the overall experience.
